Client Experience

We work to develop a deep and lasting personal relationship based on mutual trust and understanding. We will take the time to understand your hopes and fears in addition to reviewing your financial data. With a clear view of your financial landscape, we will help you choose a path to achieve your goals and manage the risks you might face.

Our desire is that this experience will give you the peace of mind to live the life of your dreams, to make wise decisions with confidence, and to make a positive impact on the world around you.

Our Approach

We believe you are best served with a holistic approach that includes financial planning, investment management, and personal education.

Financial Planning

Making decisions in the context of a comprehensive plan, you can have more control over your wealth, minimize risk, and take advantage of opportunities that arise. We start by getting to know you, understanding where you are now and where you want to be. We will gather your financial data, and then provide personalized advice in key areas such as retirement and education savings, investment management, income tax planning, and estate planning. Through an ongoing process we will help guide you through the twists and turns of life and celebrate with you as you achieve your goals. We build a relationship with you and your family so you can act as financial stewards for the next generation.

Investment Management

Our investment management process is based on tactical asset allocation principles. Your portfolio is driven by your plan and is built on a model that accounts for current market conditions. Our in-house investment committee continuously monitors economic and market developments to make proactive adjustments. Where appropriate, we consider the tax efficiency of investments and trades, to minimize the impact of capital gains and income taxes.

We operate under a fiduciary standard, meaning we place your interests above our own. And as fee-only advisors we receive our compensation from you alone, not from any third parties. This frees us to make investment decisions with true independence and objectivity.

While we handle the details of your financial planning and investment management, we also believe a continuing financial education empowers you to make better decisions and have a more profound relationship with your advisor. As we meet with you individually, we will advise you on important concepts and give context for how global headlines might affect your financial plan. And we offer periodic educational seminars and market outlook conference calls to give you a broader perspective.

Your First Meeting

Your first meeting, a complimentary review, is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and evaluate whether we are a good fit. We’ll also talk about your goals and review your current financial standing. Although this meeting is usually an informal conversation, it is helpful if you can bring the following items:

  • Paycheck stubs and executive compensation agreements
  • Bank and investment statements
  • Profit and loss statements (for business owners)
  • Employee benefits summary, equity awards statements, and pension estimates
  • Mortgage or other debt statements
